Week 8 T4 2021 Distance Learning LCS

 For the L.C.S this week we were learning about video games in the present. I have learned mroe stuff abotu e-sports and about if skate boarding should be in the Olympics. I have learned that e sports is just gaming and the e stands for electronic. 

My favourite part of this L.C.S was drawing Poppy play time with Cartooning club how to draw channel. It was really frustrating and my hand kept on hurting but I just kept going and got this master piece. I really like playing Minecraft. Whats yoru favourite game?

Innovation mini STEAM project 7

This week for the L.C.S it was related to Games and when I say games you are probably thinking video games like roblox or minecraft. The games im talking about is board games. I really like the game Monopoly so I did a little research  about that and wrote a slide about it.

I learned that board games can teach you a lesson like saving money to buy something. My favourite part about this L.C.S was creating my own board game. I created a game called Down or dare its a game mostly about dares that you do to earn points. Whats your favourite board game?

Innovation Mini Steam Project 6

 This week for the L.C.S we learned more about local transport. In maths, I learned how to solve multiplication questions easier in the maths clinic. My favorite activity was doing the Minecraft create. Although making a car didn't work as expected it was really fun to build.

I made a new type of transport called the hover prime a car that can hover at a push of a button and can also be controlled with a gaming controller. Cool right!? I made ads about it in some slides and used a website to create my car. Do you know another cool way to transport to places that aren't already thought of?

Innovation Mini Steam project 5 Food Tech

This week for the L.C.S was really interesting and fun. We did a lot of things including food like making a volcano using lemons and baking soda or writing instructions on how to make a brownie sandwich. I really enjoying this weeks L.C.S, my favourite activity was making the volcano using lemons and baking soda. I was really surprised with the results and didn't think it would actually work. Have you ever tried making a volcano using lemons and baking soda? 

Innovation Mini Steam project 3

 This week was really fun because the topic was based on art. I learned many things about art like how graffiti can be seen as art on vandalism and could also be seen as both.

My favourite part of this L.C.S was using you tube to help me draw an emoji. I really like art do you? Can you guess what I drew?

Innovation Mini STEAM project 1 Pahurehure Inlet

This week for the L.C.S we did a mini steam because we although we are in lock down it isn't gonna stop us from having our steam fair. This topic was about the Pahurehure inlet. We had to write some ways to improve the Pahurehure inlet. I couldn't think of much so I had to imagine one.

My favorite parts of this L.C.S was building a tree house. My original idea failed because of some technical diffeculties so i made another one I really liked it because I never really worked that hard on a tree house before with no rules in how I build it. Have you even been interested in designing a tree house? 

Health and Physical Education

 Here is my L.C.S for this week. The topic is about health and physical education. It was really fun since I got to work with some of my friends. I have learned how to take care of my body properly and what things I have to do to have a healthy life.

My favourite part from this L.C.S was the board game. It was fun to do it with Hayley and Nicholas. We all tried our est to do the exercises but and we struggled to do most of them. what do you know about having a healthy life  

Heros or Villains whos side are you on?

Here is my L.C.S for this week. The topic for the L.C.S was Superheros and Villains. I have learned more about different heroes and different villains I have learned that all superheros could be bad and that they all have a dark side.  

My favorite part of my work was doing the math. It wasn't really hard once I understood it and it was really fun. What is your favorite superhero or villain?

For the the L.C.S this week the main topic was to think should we open our border?  I have learned that many families are unhappy because they are sepreated from their families and they can't go back to them because of covid 19. Since we are experiencing lock down do you think opening our borders is a good idea?

L.C.S Cultural Significance

Here is my L.C.S for this week in lock down. It was really fun to learn more about cultures and their language. My favorite part was trying to write my name in Chinese. Do you think it looks good?

 

I have learned that conscripttion means when people are selected for military service to fight for a small army because of a threat or out break to war. Have you ever tried writing your own name in another language?

Reading Are video games good or bad for me?

 

This week for reading and for writing we had to figure out if video games are good for us. In my opinion I really like video games but if you go on bad apps too much then its not good for you. but if you limit your time and find better games, then that would be better. Do you like video games as well?

Writing Do you think video games are good for school?

  Playing video games is fun. But do you think it's a good idea to play video games at school?

I believe that videogames are good for schoolonly if it is for learning purposes. Apps like Matific or prodigy are good learning games for school. T games like Fortnight or Call of Duty are definitely not for school. Here are some reasons why video games are good for school.

Firstly, in a way games can help students learn stuff without them even knowing it! Some games put random knowledge and give you points to get you interested in learning. You build your way up to harder questions and learn stuff on the way.It may sound bad because students could get distracted, but we actually learn a bunch of new things to prepare us for life. It can help children learn easier because of the way the game is played.

Lastly, students can get better with social connections and they can connect with more people in the class when they play together. We can meet new friends at school in video games and be more confident with eachother. We can be more interested in learning because of the video games we play at school.

In conclusion I think that video games are very suitable for school as long as it is related to learning.  

For this weeks writing we have to write about why video games are good for school. I think that video games are good for school because it can help us learn better. Do you agree with me or do you think video games are bad for school?

Music or Sports?

If someone were to ask me, “Do you think sports is better than music?” I would say no because I believe that music is better than sports.  I have many reasons why I think music is better than sports. So sit back and relax.

Firstly, listening to music can be calming and it can reduce stress if you listen to a specific tune. You could find out that you are good with an instrument. For example a guitar, piano, or maybe even drums. Once you keep practicing you could probably teach another person to play an instrument as well!. When playing music it could increase your focus on other things!  Like for example, it could help with focusing on work or maybe even on a really hard test. Here are my reasons why I like music better than sports. 

Now I will explain why sports are not better than music.  Firstly, while listening to music it could relax you while playing a sport could stress you out. Sports could only stress you out in games. Your coach and parents would be watching and you know you want to make them proud. The coach could put a little pressure. Secondly, you could get injured playing sports because some people tend to get a little rough or maybe even get angry if something bad happens. Thirdly, not everybody could play sports. Some disadvantaged kids, elderly and injured people can’t play sports. Kids should be forced to play sports. They should only do it if they want to.

These many reason explain the pros about music and the cons about sport. I hope my writing has persuaded you to think more about music and sport.

This week for writing we had to write a persuasive piece of writing to persuade people that music is better then sports or if sports is better than music. I like music better then sports so my writing has some good things about music. What do you think is better? Music or Sports?

Dear Mr and Mrs Abrod,

I am writing to you today because I want to be able to sleep in my own room comfortably. I will explain many reasons why I am responsible enough and what are the pros of having a better room.

If I were to sleep in my own room, Lara and I would fight less. For example, if I wanted to make something that would involve me making a HUGE mess I would do it in my own room. But if I were to stay in her room then we would fight even more and it would probably cause her to EXPLODE with anger.

Now let's talk about how you can help make a change. I have a room, but if you would sleep in that room for a week you would notice the bed is uncomfortable and that the lighting is quite bad. Even more during the week, you will soon realize that Iven would ALWAYS keep his toys everywhere and he would be too lazy to clean it up himself.

The solution to this is if I could get a better bed. I am okay with an air bed because the bed is just a couch and when you sleep on it for a long time it gets uncomfortable. For the lighting maybe I could use a small lamp, or flashlight, or maybe even a new light bulb. The last solution is that I could clean up the room whenever I'm told to. It is always messy in there. 

Now I will explain what I would do to earn it. Firstly you could just give me the stuff and I could fix my room myself! Secondly, I will always keep the room clean even if it is Iven's toys that I need to clean up.

Mythical creatures L,C,S

 This week was another L.C.S. it wasn't that hard but t was really fun. I liked the theme Mythical crstures and I now know more about creatures that don't exist.

I have learn't that griffins have strong back legs of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. Don't you think thats cool? What do you know about Mythical creatures?

The one paragraph story of... BRETT POISEN

 (The character was inspired)

This week we had to pick an animal and a job to make a mutant superhero. I chose scorpion and a ninja but a ninja could be a spy and a spy could be a ninja so I changed ninja to spy.

He is a Teenage boy who fights crime anonymously. Who is a black belt in martial arts, has Beautiful hair and has the powers of a scorpion. His name is… Brett Poison. Brett has a huge secret room with organised gadgets and secret weapons. He wears black shades that can identify criminals in disguise. The glasses can disguise Brett to look like someone else to fit into crowds or to sneak into places or buildings he needs to go in. When he shapes his hands into a specific shape he can poison anyone he needs to and can either make  the target fall asleep or never wake up. So before you go robbing shops or doing bad things like a criminal would do then beware of the master spy… Brett Poison.

My favorite part was research the different aspects of a scorpion and trying to make a character fit the animal. The week my b=hub also only had to do at least one paragraph because we just started writing on thursday and it was quite a long story to explain that. Food Review on the wonderful Pumpkin&Coconut Cream Soup.

Last week on June 18 2021 (on Friday) we made Pumpkin&Coconut cream soup. The tasks we had to do was make a brochure of Kiribati and write a review. After eating it, everyone thought it tasted delicious.

I never tire of annoying my sister and making egg sandwiches everyweek.

I can consume a whole bucket of fried chicken while my sister complains how annoying I am ].

I wear sweat pants and long sleeves that cover up my whole body all the time.

I love to ride horse, play with my puppy and hangout with my friends

I love bungee jumping at crystal mountain  and going to places besides home.

I like going on my chromebook “doing work” and reading a book in solitude.

A fact report on the amazing Cheetah

 This week for T2 W7 we had to either make a narative of a bad cat or a fact report on a chosen animal.

I chose a very cool, very fast animal... A Cheetah I had to do research about this mammel and write it down in my own sentences 

This activity was very fun and I am cheetahs don't become extinct.
